DNA microarray for gene expression profiles is a high throughput technique. It allows expression monitoring of tens of thousands genes in parallel. It has become an increasingly popular tool to investigate the function of genes. Here the principle and applications of this technique were reviewed. The problems it faced with and the resolve strategies are also mentioned.
