The chlorophyll-protein complexes of thylakiods and those of various PSⅡ preparations were analyzed by a low ionic strength native“green gel”system after solubilization by a mixture of detergents,with very little release of free pigment.The subunit composition and absorption spectra of some chlorophyll-protein complexes were studied also.This new native green gel system is simple and rapid,with release of very little free pigment.
