    Abstract:

The purpose of the experiment is to use pro-urokinase as a model to find a way of recovering proteins from SDS-PAGE gel for MALDI-TOF MS. The recovering method includes steps of electroelution, desalting and SDS removal. Discontinuous conductivity gradient method for electroelution, centrifugation ultrofiltration for desalting and cold acetone method was used for SDS removal. The result shows that the method is feasible at least for some proteins (e.g.pro-urokinase and bovine serum albumin).
