    Abstract:

Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) induces angiogenesis as well as permeability of blood vessels, and plays a central role in the regulation of vasculogenesis.Five VEGF isoforms (VEGF121~206) are produced from a single VEGF gene by alternative splicing of the VEGF mRNA.The regulation of angiogenesis induced by VEGF and how to inhibit its effects arouse great interests. The function of VEGF in angiogenesis regulation was reviewed in several aspects.
