    Abstract:

There exists a special kind protein, lacking intrinsic enzymatic activity, in signal transduction system, termed scaffold protein. It has ability of binding two or more proteins simultaneously. It permits signal transduction in a specific and efficient manner by binding functionally related proteins into a signalosome.
