Nicastrin 属Ⅰ型跨膜糖蛋白,新近被证实为γ-分泌酶复合体的组成部分 . Nicastrin 可调节γ-分泌酶复合体其他组分的稳定、转运等过程 . Nicastrin 的主要功能是通过γ-分泌酶复合体参与阿尔茨海默病中 Aβ生成和 Notch 信号系统转导 .
Nicastrin is a novel typeⅠ transmembrane glycoprotein, which has been shown to be a critical component of γ-secretase complex. It has been well established that nicastrin is essential for the stability and trafficking of the other γ-secretase components. Furthermore, nicastrin plays an important role in Aβ peptide generation of Alzheimer's disease and Notch signaling pathway.
