阿尔茨海默病(Alzheimer’s disease,AD)是一种多因素相关的复杂性疾病,临床主要表现为记忆力逐渐丧失和认知功能障碍.目前尚无有效的治疗方法.由AD病人来源的诱导多功能干细胞(induced pluripotent stem cells,iPSCs)分化成的神经元具有AD的相关病理表现,是AD发病机制研究和潜在药物筛选的模型之一.由于iPSCs的分化潜能,iPSCs又能分化为不同类型的神经细胞改善AD的症状.iPSCs相关研究成为目前AD研究的热点之一.本文主要综述iPSCs在AD病理机制研究和AD治疗中的作用.
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a complex multifactorial disease, characterized by progressive cognitive impairments and loss of memory. At present, there is no effective treatment for AD. The neurons differentiated from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) which are derived from AD patients have the relevant pathological manifestations of AD. Thus iPSCs is one of models for the study of the pathogenesis of AD and for finding the underlying drug target for AD. iPSCs can differentiate into different types of nerve cells to improve the symptoms of AD. The study of iPSCs in AD became an important issue. The advantages of iPSCs as a model in the pathological study of AD and the role of iPSCs in AD treatment were summarized in this article.
