    Abstract:

Through appropriate design and molecular manipulation, mammalian expression vectors could be constructed. Such plasmids, when introduced into suitable mammalian host cells, would effectively express foreign genes of interestes, which constitutes a mammalian gene expression system. Here, the current advances in this field are reviewed.
