Abstract:

The killing effect of photoexcited TiO₂ particles on U937 cells has been studied. DNA agarose gel electrophoresis shows that photoexcited TiO₂ particles can damage DNA, leading to the death of cells. So a new assumption of the way to kill cancer cells is proposed.
