    Abstract:

Manipulation of macromolecules is becoming an interesting research subject both in physics and biology recently. Linear phage virus has been aligned in one direction on atomic flat surfaces by a special method named “molecular combing”. Atomic force microscopy was used to check the results. The related mechanism has been discussed.
