Telomerase activity is associated with cancer.Telomerase inhibition is a strategy for suppression of tumor growth.The progress in inhibition of telomerase activity by peptide nucleic acids,ribozyme,differentiating agents,reverse transcriptase inhibitors and G-quartet DNA structures are reviewed.
