The comparison of Watergate technique and other solvent suppression methods showed that Watergate technique is easy to realize and can give low t1 noise spectrum. With Watergate-NOESY and Watergate-TOCSY, the assignment of most labile protons of G,C in dsDNA fragment d(5′-TTTCGCGC)·d(3′-AAAGCGCG), which can be recognized by the transcription factor E2F, was made.
