    Abstract:

Iris recognition, an emerging biometric technology, which exploits the uniqueness of human iris texture, can accomplish automatic personal identification. Of all iris recognition systems so far, Daugman’s system based on Gabor wavelets encoding iris texture is more robust. The principle of iris computer recognition was reviewed in two parts, the principle of encoding and the principle of statistical strategy.
