    Abstract:

Synthetic double-stranded oligonucleotides with high affinity for AP-1 transcrption factor can be introduced into cells as decoy cis-elements to bind the factor and alter gene expression by competition with AP-1 element. This decoy oligonucleotide restrained tumor cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo, and has important cancer gene therapeutic potential.
