Since 1970s', Chinese enzymologists have obtained a lot of distinguished achievements on the basic research on enzymes. At the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics, this paper is attempted to review the selected achievements from the systematically enzymic research in China.
