Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics (CN 11-2161/Q; ISSN 1000-3282), founded in 1974, is a monthly journal governed by Chinese Academy of Sciences and sponsored by Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Biophysical Society of China.

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics focuses on the phenomena and mechanisms of material transformation, energy conversion, and information transmission in the process of life. The publishing scope covers biochemistry, biophysics, neural and cognitive sciences, bioinformatics, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, nanobiology, genomics, proteomics, systems biology and other relevant disciplines and application fields. The journal will consider submission of the following paper types: Reviews and Monographs, Short Communications, Research Papers, Techniques and Methods, New Technology Lectures, Science and Education, etc. Chinese and English manuscripts are both acceptable.
