Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics is an academic journal serving a global audience, which publishes 12 issues per year. Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics covers all aspects of life science. The subjects areas include, but not limited to biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, cell biology, neuroscience, immunology, genomics, proteomics, systems biology and other related disciplines.
Paper Types
The Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics will consider submission of the following paper types:
Reviews and Monographs: In-depth review of research progress of biochemistry, biophysics and related disciplines. It includes significant and novel topics, and incisive comments, with timeliness and a wide readership. Furthermore, authors are required to have a research foundation in the reviewed fields, and give comprehensive and authoritative descriptions and comments on the research progress, prospects and existing problems in related fields. In particular, review articles with high quality based on their own systematic research are welcome.
Short Communications: It is a rapid publication route for latest high-innovation scientific research papers. Manuscripts should be significant innovative research results, which are first published internationally. The review procedure will be simplified. Upon accepted, manuscripts will be published within 30 days. No publication fee and color processing fee shall be charged.
Research Papers: Original experimental research work, with important academic value and complete data.
Techniques and Methods: Remarkable innovations and improvements in research methods or experimental techniques in biochemistry or biophysics.
New Technology Lectures: Introduction of theories and applications of the latest research methods, experimental techniques or instruments in biochemistry and biophysics.
Science and Education: Papers related to life science teaching, including the creation and exploration of new courses, teaching plan regarding to new scientific ideas or cutting-edge scientific knowledge, and exploration of teaching methods, etc.
Letter to Editor: Report on the latest scientific research achievements and scientific discoveries. The papers must be first published internationally with no more than 1000 words, 2 table/figure and 15 references. The manuscript shall be peer reviewed within 15 working days, and be published in the current issue if accepted.
News and Views: Review of the latest published articles or high-level scientific research achievements. Comment on hot topics in the field of life sciences.
Debate: Expound new academic ideas and scientific assumption. Discussion on the controversial academic viewpoints and achievements.
